Seperti kita ketahui, beberapa waktu yang lalu, Margot Robbie baru saja mengungkap judul resmi/lengkap dari film spinoff Suicide Squad yang akan dibintangi olehnya. Film tersebut akan mengambil judul Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Namun sayangnya judul tersebut malah membuat para penggemar bereaksi negatif dan bahkan beberapa diantara mereka mengejek judul tersebut.

Margot Robbie akan kembali berperan sebagai Harley Quinn di film ini bersama dengan Mary Elizabeth Winstead sebagai Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell sebagai Black Canary, dan Rosie Perez sebagai Renee Montoya. Sedangkan untuk sosok villain Black Mask akan diperankan oleh Ewan McGregor.
Sutradara Cathy Yan akan mengarahkan proyek Birds of Prey yang akan menjadi debutnya sebagai sutradara film “besar.” Yan akan mengarahkan film ini berdasar atas naskah dari Christina Hodson (Unforgettable), yang juga akan menangani screenplay dari film Batgirl.
