Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences akhirnya resmi mengumumkan daftar nominasi Oscar 2026 untuk ajang Academy Awards ke-98. Pengumuman dilakukan secara langsung dan dipandu oleh aktris nominasi Oscar Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple) bersama aktor nominasi Emmy Lewis Pullman (Lessons in Chemistry).
Sorotan utama tahun ini jatuh pada film horor drama garapan Ryan Coogler, Sinners, yang sukses mencetak sejarah baru Oscar. Film tersebut menjadi film pertama sepanjang sejarah Academy Awards yang berhasil meraih 16 nominasi, memecahkan rekor lama yang selama puluhan tahun tak tersentuh.
Deretan nominasi Sinners mencakup kategori-kategori paling bergengsi, mulai dari Best Picture, Best Actor untuk Michael B. Jordan, Best Supporting Actor untuk Delroy Lindo, Best Supporting Actress untuk Wunmi Mosaku, hingga Best Director dan Best Original Screenplay untuk Ryan Coogler.
Ajang Academy Awards 2026 dijadwalkan berlangsung pada 15 Maret 2026 di Dolby Theatre, Hollywood, Los Angeles. Acara bergengsi ini akan kembali dipandu oleh komedian peraih berbagai penghargaan, Conan O’Brien, yang dipercaya menjadi pembawa acara untuk kedua kalinya.
