Insiden yang terjadi di Prancis beberapa waktu yang lalu memang mengundang banyak simpati dari selebriti dunia. Mereka berbondong-bondong memberikan ucapan belasungkawa atas tragedi teror yang terjadi Prancis itu. Salah satu bentuk respon akan tragedi Prancis juga datang dari Guillermo del Toro, sutradara kawakan asal Meksiko.

Kejadian teror di Perancis membuat del Toro teringat kembali akan pengalaman kelamnya dua puluh tahun yang lalu. Dalam akun Twitter-nya, del Toro membagi kisahnya tentang kisah penculikan ayahnya ke dalam delapan buah tweet yang ia sebut A Memory in 8 Tweets.

The first was: For 5K, they would give us a room with the kidnappers, tied to a chair. They would provide a lead pipe & 15 minutes alone.
