Film The Predator yang akan dirilis pada bulan September mendatang akan mempunyai sebuah novel prekuel yang akan membantu para penonton untuk lebih mengerti latar belakang kejadian di filmnya nanti.
Melalui Titan Books, 20th Century Fox meghadirkan sebuah novel berjudul The Predator: Hunters and Hunted. Menurut Titan, novel yang mempunyai 304 halaman ini akan mempunyai kisah yang sangat menarik dan mempunyai beberapa hal yang akan menghubungkan jalan cerita dengan filmnya. Novel prekuel hasil karya James A. Moore (Chaos Bleeds) ini akan mulai dijual pada tanggal 31 Juli ini.

Sekilas The Predator
Remake/reboot/sekuel ini dinahkodai oleh sutradara Shane Black (Iron Man 3, Lethal Weapon). Black bersama dengan rekan penulisnya Fred Dekker (The Monster Squad) bertanggung jawab atas naskah film ini. Detail mengenai proyek film memang belum banyak diketahui, demikian pula tentang status film ini apakah merupakan sebuah reboot, sekuel ataupun prekuel. Namun Black menjanjikan sebuah film yang sangat berbeda dan akan sangat menghibur serta akan berbeda dengan film-film terdahulunya. Sutradara ini sudah mengembangkan naskah film ini bersama rekannya tersebut sejak tahun 2014 yang lalu setelah sekian lama mencoba membangkitkan lagi franchise Predator ini.
