Ajang penghargaan film paling “pedas” di Hollywood kembali menjadi sorotan. Razzie Awards 2026 resmi mengumumkan daftar nominasinya, dan dua judul besar langsung mencuri perhatian: Snow White versi live-action dan War of the Worlds yang dibintangi Ice Cube. Keduanya memimpin dengan enam nominasi masing-masing, termasuk kategori utama Worst Picture atau film terburuk tahun ini.
Ironisnya, setahun lalu Snow White justru menjadi simbol optimisme Disney. Gal Gadot dan Rachel Zegler bahkan sempat tampil bersama di panggung Oscar 2025, seiring tingginya antusiasme publik terhadap adaptasi live-action dongeng klasik tersebut. Namun, 12 bulan berselang, film itu kini justru menjadi unggulan dalam daftar terburuk versi Razzie.
Nasib serupa dialami War of the Worlds, film fiksi ilmiah yang dibintangi Ice Cube, yang sejak perilisannya menuai kritik tajam dari penonton maupun kritikus. Film ini kini sejajar dengan Snow White sebagai kandidat kuat “pemenang” Razzie tahun ini.
Dalam kategori Worst Picture, Snow White dan War of the Worlds akan bersaing dengan beberapa judul lain yang juga tak kalah kontroversial, seperti Hurry Up Tomorrow (dibintangi Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye) dan Star Trek: Section 31 yang masing-masing meraih lima nominasi, serta The Electric State dengan tiga nominasi.
